This week's divorce support group topic:

Learning to Say No Without Guilt

Your ex still calls you for emotional support. You say yes to things you don't have the energy for. You feel guilty even imagining drawing a line — like that would make you the cruel one. If any of that sounds familiar, this session is about something you may never have been taught: how to set boundaries without guilt.

Here's the reframe that frees people: a boundary isn't about pushing someone away or controlling them. It's about getting clear on what you value — your time, your energy, your peace — and communicating it honestly. Setting a limit doesn't make you rude, mean, or selfish. It makes you someone who has finally started to value yourself. And here's the quiet secret most people miss: if you say yes and feel bad afterward, that was a no you were afraid to speak.

We'll talk about why so many of us give and give, hoping it will make us loved — and why that pattern leaves us drained and resentful. You'll learn what the different kinds of boundaries actually look like, simple language for setting one without blame, and what to do when someone doesn't respect it.

You'll leave understanding that you don't have to carry everyone else's emotions — and that boundaries aren't walls. They're how you protect your own healing and finally start putting yourself back on the list.
